Day 61. Perth. 26.8.26

The predicted weather wasn't favourable to go for a ride into the CBD so we went to a couple of caravan accessories places to get some bits for the pop top part of the van as a couple had snapped. Those procured we decided to go to the Dome Cafe for a coffee while we decided what to do in the south east of Perth.

We chose one of our favourite things to do—a bush walk—with the promise of beautiful natural wonders, colourful flowers and plenty of birds along the way.

The 1st thing we saw was this Splendid Fairy Wren.

Views back over the city.
The waterfall was at the top of the ridge, and the track was a little challenging at times—thank goodness I don’t have short legs! 😄 The effort was well worth it though.

The clouds were starting to come in.

Water crossing to at the top of the waterfall to get to the old Quarry.

Red Tailed Black Cockatoos
A New Holland Honeyeater.

Pretty wildflowers
Final stretch of the 2+ km hike.
We thought we’d push our luck a little and tackle another bushwalk, but we only made it halfway before we could see the rain approaching. We decided it was probably time to turn around—sometimes you just have to know when nature is telling you to head home!

We nearly made it back before the rain started.
A Wood duck family swimming by made our lunch time even more special.

We had a quiet afternoon/evening. Staying tucked up in the caravan while the rain comes and goes is exactly what we needed.

Todays temperature range was 11-21°

Day 60. Perth. 25.8.26

Happy Birthday Sarah.

Up early this morning to head north to Clarkson to have the cruiser serviced. Breakfast at Zarraffa's after we dropped the car at 7.30am.

Looks like a newish suburb.

Didn't realise it all started on the Goldcoast.

Wandered aimlessly around a shopping centre nearby to fill in time. 5 minutes into a Haircut Toyota range to say the cars ready 🤦.

With Mark still coughing on occasions we decided to head back to the van and he had a snooze.

Quiet afternoon and evening.

Todays temperature range was 7-21°

Day 63. Beverley. 28.8.26

This morning we packed up and departed Perth for the Swan Valley area. We had morning tea at the Margaret River Chocolate Company in the Swa...
