Day 2. Jericho, Q 28.6.26

A bit of light rain overnight = bit of red mess under foot. Thank goodness for old towels.

Departed at 9am with the intention of spending the night in Jericho. Lots of coal trains along the way.

We stopped in the small town of Bluff. Diesel was only $1.66.6 so we topped up again.
A couple of snaps of Blackwater as we drove through.

2 more 'big things ' , big coal buckets.
We have driven the Capricorn Highway before so didn't stop.
Enjoying the scenery today. Photos below coming into Emerald.

Stopped in Emerald for a spot of grocery shopping so we can make our lunch when we get to Anakie Siding, in the gem fields.

More car snaps on the way to Alpha.

Seth gave Mark a cruiser for his birthday 💙
Stopped in Alpha to stretch our legs.

Mark was feeling good so we drove through Jericho and are at the Alice River rest area.
It's 6pm and not another soul is here.
Cooked dinner outside as the sun faded.

Today we travelled 420 kms. The temperature range was 13-23° We are both enjoying being back on the road.
