Day 17. Katherine, N.T. 13.6.26

Wander around the rest area.

This massive rig pulled in last night. Looks very  robust.

Took a little while but finally these 2 finally stayed still long enough to get a photo. 

Walked through the bush looking for Lake Leach but it was fenced off.

Deliberately departed late this morning as check in isn't until 11 am.

After collecting our forwarded mail we went to my least favourite (too noisy) supermarket that I've been to. Groceries purchased it was back to the van to play tetris in the fridge and get ready for a soak/float in the Katherine Hot Springs.

We were warned about children stealing peoples things while your swimming so we didn't take any cameras.

After dinner in the camp kitchen we watched a YouTube video on how to actually play Skip Bo. Much better to play it properly than just make up our own rules. 

Today we travelled 49 kms, for a total of 3144 kms. We have 3 nights booked in the unpowered section of the Riverview TouristPark. Cathy and Gunther are in the powered section for a few days before they head to Darwin.
