Up early this morning to wash the bedding so it would dry before we headed off for our next adventure.
Cotton field.
We took a quick drive out to Ivanhoe crossing. Neither of us had the desire to drive across so we just watched. It has only been opened for a couple of weeks, it was previously too deep. Pelican watching on.
Water is pumped up and fed to the town.
Old pump house has been turned into a restaurant.
Lots of hiding places for the short eared rock wallabies.
Todays cruise was very different from the Lake Argyle scenery.
One of many crocs we saw.
Male darter, they capture fish by impaling them with their beaks.
Our boat was moving along quite fast.
Out the front of the boat.
We pulled in for afternoon tea at a lovely little spot that had a the only waterfall at this time of the year. In the wet season there is about 70.
The last 15 kms before we got to Lake Argyle was shallow which caused mini rapids as the water raced over the rocks.
The boat had to increase speed to get higher in the water for the shallow bits.
Small flying fox colony.
We cruised all the way to the Lake Argyle dam wall, 55 kms away.
Water Snowflake lillies.
