Day 14. Mataranka, N.T. 10.7.26

After a couple of loads of washing we wandered into Mataranka town.

A very cool van park pool.
We went for a drive out to Elsey Cemetery, original Homestead site and Elsey Creek bridge.

A dead tree being surrounded by a termite mound.

Finally it was time for a float in the thermal pool.

Rainbow Springs is where the water comes from to feed the thermal pools.
A couple of spiders enjoying the warmth rising from the pool.
A couple of visitors while we had a pre dinner drink.
We watched the amazing whip cracking show tonight.

I used AI to remove the heads of the people sitting in front of us.
Solar powered lights in the whip.
Cracking whips on fire.

We finished the night with a cup of tea and a game of phase 10.
Today's temperature range was 13-30°.
