Day 27. Spring Creek. 23.7.26

Day 8 of our tour.

Briefing 8.45 for 9 am departure.

Destination Spring Creek Rest Area

Time on road 2 hrs 45 mins

Distance to travel 251 kms.

As we were supposed to head to the Bungle Bungles today and they closed the park and tours Xpedition came up with a new plan.

Due to the burn offs the caravan park was very smokey overnight and early this morning when I went for a walk.

Wandered through the parkland.

Bower bird nest.

#12 from our group going over the diversion dam wall on our way out of Kununurra.
A couple of slow movers on the road.

Takes a fair bit of room to park up 19 different rigs at Doon Doon Roadhouse for morning tea.

Split Rock.
Controlled burn off presumably.  No firies present.
Our group lining up to pick a spot for the night at Spring Creek Rest Area.  It's a large free camp area that's well patronised.  There's toilets, dump point and shaded tables. Plenty of room for us and quite a few others too.

*Fun Facts*
The heart is where 'home' is. The blue dot is where we are now. Since leaving the Haven we have done over 4,800 kms and we have lived in our van for 39 days. Today I am 6 weeks post getting a nose job, its healing slowly but surely.

After spending a couple of hours trying to upload videos I have given up. For some reason my blog is not accepting the phone videos even when accessed from the laptop.

We travelled 251 kms, for a total of 4,001.
Todays temperature range was 12-31°.
