Day 34. Broome. 30.7.26

Day 15 of our tour.

Free day in Broome.

Omgoodness,  today has been epic. We spent the morning exploring on our own, climbing around & over all sorts of rocks, small and big, walking along the beach and drive on some red, sandy, corrugated roads. The afternoon/evening was spent at the local beach markets and waiting for the much anticipated moon rise so we could see the staircase to the moon. There will be way too many photos.

We tried hard to get down to the hole in the rock but we just could find the right way and the tide was rising.

A couple of teapots

The patterns and colours in the rocks were very beautiful and interesting.

Google search suggests these are exactly what we thought they were. There were dozens of tracks all over the beach close to the rocky areas.

2 large nest in the Lighthouse framework.
Osprey was in residence.

Finally we found the dinosaur footprints 🦕👣

The black rock looked out of place in amongst all the orange.

It was really hot on the beach & rocks so we called it quits and went to the Divers Tavern for some sustenance.

People were out in their hundreds. This was taken nearly an hour before the moon started to rise above the horizon.

I used AI to remove a couple of heads.

Need a bit more practice on selfies in night mode.
Having a little fun with the camera.

Eventually we found a stairway to home.

Todays temperature range was 11-29°
