Day 35. Broome. 31.7.26

Day 16 of our tour.

Free day in Broome.

Today we decided to explore the town area. Checked out the shopping precinct for a coffee, bought a couple of little souvenirs, visited an old cinema and Streeters jetty and enjoyed lunch the Roey.

Beautiful desert roses.

How disgraceful 🥹

After sharing a steak sandwich and a good chat with another couple from our tour group we headed off to Cable Beach.

Camels going to work.

We stopped in at the Cable Beach House for a coldie to quench our thirst and get out of the heat while we waited for our turn for a camel ride.

Lots of ripples
Here come our camels. 17 in the train.

Meet Captain, our camel.
Teddy, the camel behind me.

Crocs in the wild
Mark thanking Captain for his service.
We were going to have dinner at the Surf club and watch the sun set but it was packed and a queue to get in. We grabbed fish n chips and sat at the caravan park with a few others watching the moonrise instead.

Taken without night mode on

Todays temperature range was 12-31° and we drove about 20 kms.

We saw an owl in a tree next to our van

Gadget, our dog, has a new friend, Captain 🐫
