Day 36. 80 Mile Beach. 1.8.26

Today we pack up and leave Broome.  I feel like we could easily have spent a few more days here.

Day 17 of our tour. 

Briefing 9.50am for 10am departure at Roebuck Plains Roadhouse.  

Destination 80 Mile Beach.                                     

Time on road 4 hrs 30 minutes 

Distance to travel 362 kms.

One of the vans had an issue with their electric awning before we left. Mark tried to help but in the end they had to take the motor out so they could wind it up manually.

We met up at Roebuck Plains Roadhouse and departure was 10am but as tail end Charlie we were held up by another van and departed 20 mins after everyone else.

Stopped at Goldwing rest area for a lunch break.

Not much to see on the road. 

Another stop at Stanley rest area for a quick break. 

9 kms of corrugations to the caravan park. 

Not what I wanted to see on the walk to the beach. 

Sand hwy.

Happy hour and watching the sunset rounded out another wonderful day exploring the great outdoors. 

Todays temperature range was 14-31°. We travelled 379 kms, for a total of 5280 kms.
