Day 47. Denham. 12.8.26

Day 28 of our tour.

Meet at jetty at 7.45 am.

Boat trip to Steep Point & Dirk Hartog Island. Snorkelling if you choose.

Wandered down to the jetty by 7.30.

Most westerly point of mainland Australia,  Steep Point.
Being under cut by the waves.

Unfortunately with it being so rough we couldn't get closer and some of the photos are blurry.

Dirk Hartog Island below.

Lots of interesting shells on the beach.  As it's a national park we could only take photos,  which was all I wanted to do anyway.
The water felt lovely on my bare feet.

Sea urchin.

We landed on the southern tip of the island.

This nest is apparently about 200 yrs old.
Red line is ~ where we cruised today.

Eagle in the smaller nest.
Heading for home. The water colours were truly amazing. We stopped at the local for a cold beverage with a few of the others.
Stairs to our home on wheels.

Todays temperature range was 7-20°. It was cold and windy the entire cruise but we still had another great day on tour.

A few photos below from the group. We have had 2 vehicles depart from the group for personal reasons so we are now 17 vehicles, 31 people.

A few of us at Coral Bay a few days ago.
