Day 50. Kalbarri. 15.8.26

 Day 31 of our tour.

Free day to explore.

Marks developed a cough so is feeling a little poorly but we spent all morning exploring part of Kalbarri National Park. It was $10 for a parks pass for the day. The views were spectacular, lots of WOW was said and even a few omgoodness.

**There are squillions of photos **

The views on the way in got me excited.

Lots of wildflowers again today.  Trying to only photograph ones I haven't done before.

Panorama of the Murchison River.
Pathway to nature's window.

Ripple rock.
Looking across to the other side.

The sun played havoc with a lot of photos today

Nature's Window 😍

Felt like I was on top of the world.
Contemplating some tracks he found.

There's 2 of these cantilever walkways that jut out 100m above ground level.

Who's having a great day 🙋‍♀️

Looking back to the one we just left.

Detective Mark found these arthropod tracks high up on the rocks 🕵️‍♂️

Next we went to the Z Bend lookout.  It was a good walk but it was getting a bit warm.

Mark was getting tired so we decided to go to town for lunch. On the way into Kalbarri we stopped at another lookout. The views were beautiful.

We had fish n chips overlooking where the Murchison River goes out to sea.

We decided to drive 15 kms out of town along the waterfront and come back stopping at quite a few lookouts.

A couple of goats unexpectedly appeared.

Bee hive

Pink beach

Our last stop before heading back to our van feeling rather weary.
This would be a great spot to snorkel if ever we get back here.

Todays temperature range was 11-23° The BoM was having issues in Kalbarri, the temps didn't match up on their site.
Today we drove 130+ kms.
