Day 58. Perth. 23.8.26

Today we are moving on to Perth Central Caravan Park, 105 kms away.

Rain is predicted.
We stopped at the Gravity Discovery Centre.  The reviews weren't particularly good but we're glad we chose to go anyway. We spent 3 1/2 hrs there. It was a big morning with information (& photo) overload.
I think this is a Menzies Banksia.

The leaning tower of Gingin.

Checked out some fossils.

The Alien by Donny Woolagoodja.
Stargate by Yakultji Napangarti.
Space capsule that spins.

I quite enjoyed this activity.

Went into the next building for even more information overload.

We climbed the tower. It leans at 15°

Preparing to test the theory of gravity.

These signs were on the landings as we climbed the tower.

Our car in the distance.

The idea was to drop the 2 balloons at the same time to see if they landed at the same time 👍

Nice views from the top.

Next we went for a wander through the solar system, a 1 km track, each way, with lots more information.

The sun, planets, moons, asteroids etc were all represented as the above pics. Way too many to blog so I'll just do the planets and our moon.

Quick lunch in the van before we headed off to Perth.
It was a lovely drive through foresty areas until
We got closer to the city. There was a fair bit of traffic but it all moved well and we were set up by 2.45pm, had a cuppa and headed off to grab some groceries so we had something to cook for dinner.

Chilly and wet in the evening.
Todays temperature range was 8-21°
We travelled 122 kms, for a total of  8038.

Fun fact:
This caravan has now travelled 52,063 kms taking our total travelled to just under 100,000 since we bought our little camper trailer in Feb 2018.
